• L’Eau Textile, La Manufacture, Roubaix (Feb. 2017)

This Bathing Suit is made up of transparent tubes woven together and assembled. Water travels through it, programmed to move at varying rhythms. It is a living organism, animated by particles circulating unceasingly in its nets. Inhabited by the agitation, movement and sound of the circulating water, the installation puts us face to face with the tinglings and gurglings of our own corporeal liquids. The work is a closed circuit.  Water circulates in the eight different networks that make up the suit. The tubes join at the heart of the mannequin and the water is redistributed using a system of electric pumps. To better visualize the movement of the water, bubbles are injected into the network at varying intervals. A random programming permits change in the rhythm and speed of the flow through each of the woven plates, accentuating the biological facet of the device as well as its hypnotic aspect.
